I saw this little boy dutifully climbing the steps to Coit Tower (which offers some panoramic views of San Francisco bay) only to rush to the telescope that was out of his reach.

He reminded me how we can get so easily distracted and lose sight of the objective we had set up for ourselves...how we can see the tree and think it is the forest...
